In issue 11 (November, 2007) the lead Russian computer game magazine "PC Games" asked major Russian publishers on their attitude concerning StarForce protection solutions.

Andrey Chemlekchiev - Localization department manager Buka Entertainment answers the questions:

PC Games: What brands do your company use for game protection and what does this depend on?

- "We used to utilize StarForce copy protection system and some other analogs. StarForce is more preferable: it is sufficiently reliable and easy to implement and use. Also StarForce offers excellent technical support in cases of serious issues."

PC Games: What are the advantages and disadvantages of StarForce solutions?

- We utilize StarForce protection for a quite long time and protection implementation process has been tuned perfectly. Any delays are almost eliminated. And what is most important for us - titles come out in time. Therewith StarForce offers very profitable pricing. Can’t call any really disadvantages. Sure there are some ones but they are absolutely non critical.

PC Games: How many technical problems calls do you receive concerning StarForce protection. And what are the most common issues?

- Approximately 20% of all calls. Main issues concerning user' mistakes and their wish for gaming without paying. Most of them used to install emulator applications that don't accept by various protections.
