The renowned Russian security expert  presents a new version of its StarForce ProActive solution at Game Stars Live 2004, to protect the publisher’s intellectual property and provide end users with a 24 hour 7 days a week online access to their favourite games.

StarForce will feature its latest anti-piracy and software licensing technologies at Game Stars Live 2004 in London on 1-5 September and its latest StarForce ProActive solution supporting the online distribution option to enable online sales of the protected software product.

The online distribution feature to be presented in London is designed to allow software publishers distribute their protected products via their own websites, reducing costs on box versions production and providing end users with a high-quality and cost-effective software product. The solution allows publishers to define and control expiry date settings of a granted demo or sales license, combine disc-based licenses with product upgrades sold via online shops, protect and control distribution of the product test-, demo-, promotional and pre-release versions.

StarForce ProActive is being used by many large game publishing houses, such as Codemasters, Cenega, Nadeo, CDV, 1C and Akella for demo and pre-release version protection and has proved to be effective against most subtle hacker attacks.
