StarForce on KRI 2013
StarForce hosted a roundtable during the Game Developers Conference in Moscow.
May 16 at the Kosmos hotel was the second day of russian Game Developers Conference. Among many lectures there were two roundtables, one of which has the theme of problems and ways of monetization of mobile games. Starforce became the moderator of this roundtable.
Main trend on this roundtable was the conversation about problems of monetization of mobile apps.
Today one of main problem with getting maximal revenue from mobile development is illegal distribution which is mostly extended in Asia.
Today as freemium game developers say that only in-game transactions can be under control what means whether player is getting in-game goods as a result of purchase. And reliable information about it could provide only AppStore and Google Play. At the same time there is so many another platforms and they’re not so protected as products of Google or Apple. And crackers can find ways to get round transactions validation. That leads to revenue loses on those markets and even more publisher goes out from this in such case.
For doing successful business on the market of mobile applications publishers need to use protection from copying apllications and its connection with server. StarForce believes that developing of this type of protection today is the most priority trend in a world of IT.
